Yes, Its that time of year again. We are delighted to present the Annual Fall Kilt night in Raleigh NC with the return of Scotland's own Warrior Pipes Drums ALBANNACH. and local favorites The Born Again Heathens will open for them. Ticket $20 in advance,

For those familiar with the Annual event, they know everything about both bands, however we are always delighted to welcome new Celtic music fans into the family. This event is now in it's 13th year, it 1st started at Tir na nOg and since Tir na nOg closed in 2015 we have continued to host it in various places constantly keeping it in Raleigh for local fans of both bands. This year we are at another NEW venue simply because we are following long time Manager of some great local venues Jim Shires. Jim has recently taken on the management of Imurj Cafe in Raleigh, he has always been very welcoming to our events and hires only the best sound & stage techs, to insure you always have the very best sound, lighting and stage as I think of this as the ultimate sign of respect for musicians, Its a no brainer to go where he goes. The other upside to hosting at Imurj is FOOD, so full bar and food,plenty of seating and right above the music cafe is one of Raleighs outstanding restaurants The Whiskey Kitchen. Albannach is Scots-Gaelic for “Scottish” or “Scotsman” Our main purpose in life is to share our intriguing culture, history and heritage with you by means of our music.
Albannach is not just another Scottish ‘Pipes & Drums’ band, our primal drumming and precise piping stirs the soul of anyone who hears them – young and old! With a champion piper, the unique sounds and talents of a didgeridoo player, and the tribal style bass drumming – our music isn’t for the faint of heart! It’s aggressive, and powerful, it stirs every drop of Celtic blood in you and leaves you wanting more. The lone Piper with amazing lungs is still right up front Donnie Mac Niell , and of course the band would not be the same without the beautiful and talented Jacquie Holland. New to the band ths past 2 years is American born Scotsman Drew Reid, Drew adds the Didge into the band and puts on a great show. and the newest addition is front drumer Nick Watson, Nick hails from N. Ireland and was one of the founding members of the original Seven Nations and went onto play with Rathkilter, he has spent hs entire adult life playing drums from Pipe & Drums bands on Celtic rock bands he fits well into Albannach and now they feel thier wee road crew family is complete.
As always Albannach brings the power and passion of Celtic Warrior music to the stage, they are excited to be back in Raleigh and catch up with old and new friends. Pass the word on, this is a show not to be missed.
The Born Again Heathens:
The Heathens are a local band that have been opening for Albannach at our Kilt Nights from the 3rd gig, this band has grown since its inception as My Three Kilts, the band disbanded, then members regrouped and reshaped themselves , Celtic rock, with a punk edge has made them a firm favorite with fans all over the USA, you will find them playing gigs anywhere from NC to Florida. The Band members are : Front man and band founder Vocals & Bass Scott . Drummer Andy Drums & Vocals. Ben on Banjo & Vocals & Bryan on guitar.
